Areas of Interest

This will be a handy list of areas where items are located, I’ll try and mark these on the map (temporary notes at the moment to remind myself).

  • Cotton source (C)
  • Flints (F)
  • Iron (Near the flints)

Quest

  1. The quest notes are incomplete as I’ve gathered this information from comments until I work through this island again.
  2. Smash the three barrels/crates on the beach and collect their contents, you’ll need them.
  3. Make sure you familiar yourself with the fresh water locations for when you’re thirsty.
  4. You’ll need to work on a shelter, attack a large tree until you gain a branch, then locate a stone.
  5. Combine the branch and stone to make a hammer.
  6. Select a suitable location for your shelter (I pick near the beach where you started), equip the hammer, right click on the ground.
  7. You can then select the shelter (don’t try the tent yet, it’s harder to build).
  8. Go around attacking trees to collect branches and leaves for the shelter.  Try not to attack a tree too much, it’ll be destroyed.
  9. Make sure to monitor your energy, thirst and hunger levels.
  10. Go looking for the flints if you want, otherwise branch + bark should do as an alternative.

  18. Once you’ve built your shelter, you should now focus on building a fireplace (stones and branches).
  19. Go looking for the flints if you want, otherwise branch + bark should do as an alternative.
  20. Light the fireplace by holding the flints and attacking the fireplace (left click).
  21. Build “Storage > Storage”.
  22. You should now be able to build “Buildings > Hut”.
  23. You’ll discover a lockpick when you finish building the hut.
  24. Use the lockpick to open the box, you’ll find a map and a spade.
  25. Check the map, goto the X and dig.
  26. A pirate will come to the island on his invisible boat.
  27. To catch the parrot you’ll need to make a net and use it.
  28. Once you’ve catch the parrot, talk to the pirate again.
  29. He’ll send you to dig up three treasures.
    1. The one on the small island will make a flaming turtle appear (I kid not!).
    2. Another one, between three palm trees next to a nest, will make 3 claw monkeys appear.  Beware, they’ll instantly attack you and you can’t outrun them, make sure you’re ready for battle.
    3. The last (SW corner) is in Lion country, so again, be prepared.  Once you dig it up you’ll encounter… a grape vine!?
  30. If you want to stay on the island for a while, don’t talk to the pirate just yet.
  31. Take the treasures back to the pirate and you’ll leave the island with him.

    now I already did everything, I have the lockpick but when I get in the box that says I can not use it! help me please

      Make sure you’re trying the right box. If you can’t smash the box apart, it’s the right one. Also, check that you’re using the lock pick correctly, I can’t remember off the top of my head what I did, might have been equip the pick and right click… I’ll have to check. Let us know if you have any luck :)

      There should be a parrots nest to the south side of the jungle / monkey area. It’s a small tree trunk with only two small branches, no leafs and a nest at the top. The parrots should be flying around by there. If you’ve chopped down the parrots nest, you might be in trouble.

    I found the best way is to find the nest, the birds nest in the small tree about your characters height, and plant your tent right next to it. Go to sleep and the next day the parrot will be flying around in circles right outside. It does take a couple of days for a parrot to get stuck in this action so I’d us something like the shovel and dig until your tired enough and sleep whenever you don’t find the parrot. But when you do you can step out of your tent, wait for the parrot to fly straight at you while circleing and you got him. Its the easiest way.

    Be sure its the birds nest on the small tree.

    ?? Have no idea, I trust you are using the the shovel, try digging around the area not just on the X, is it the turtle/monkey/or lions den treasure? My most certain answer would just be to dig all over the X and maybe around it.

    How do you open the crate with the picklock?
    Can;t seem to open it.
    I build a tree house and it says I found a picklock, there isn’t a difference between a picklock and a lockpick…right?
